Canada Media Fund (CMF), Telefilm Canada and the Canadian Media Production Association (CMPA) have created eyeoncanada.ca, a new website devoted to film, television and digital media created by Canadians.  The website allows users to learn about available Canadian productions by seeing the titles and reviewing video clips.

Canada Film Capital and EP Canada stepped up to the Canadian Media Production Association’s (CMPA) challenge at the Prime Time conference in Ottawa last week. Our donation along with a few other delegates raised $ 55,000 in support of the Actors’ Fund of Canada.

The Actors’ Fund is a registered charity that provides emergency financial aid to assist performers, creators, technical staff and other production team members in recovering from an illness, injury or other circumstances causing severe economic and personal hardship.

The Smurfs were making an appearance at the Motion Pictures Association - Canada and the Canadian Media Producer’s Association event at William F. White on July 10, 2013. The event celebrated the release of a very thorough and important national study called “The Economic Contribution of the Film and Television Sector in Canada”.
